New LJ

Hey all.. I've decided to get myself a new LJ.. so umm.. everyones.. go to [info]paperflakes and add me back! Cheesy username, yes, but whatever. :p Reason for new LJ is simple.. I shall jump on the bandwagon and start going "Friends-Only" soon, so it'll be good to have a fresh start.. and this journal is already 2 years old (and with an terribly unoriginal username).. so yeah..

LJ has been laggy for the longest time.. makes me wanna *stab* Yday, I had this nice long post, only to have it 'eaten' up by LJ! (i.e. not posted).. :(

Been trying to come up with a new LJ username. Anyone care to contribute some ideas again? *sigh*

Anyways, *very very tired* still blog proper when LJ gets back PROPER. On an interesting notes, I was tidying up my LJ earlier on (i.e. deleting off useless old posts) and umm.. found some interesting comments by [info]nutty_elf.. Occurred to me how different we sounded 2 years ago.. X_x

heh, guess what? I just spent my entire afternoon at Changi Airport (i.e. Singapore's International Airport). Nopes, I'm not flying off yet.. I was there to pick up [info]ariebeth who just popped back from Perth, Aust. Oh wait.. I should rephrase, I was there to hang out with [info]nutty_elf, [info]reindeer25 and [info]angelic_st4r for most of the afternoon then meeting Ellie for a short while before she was whizzed off from the airport. :p and because I'm so absolutely lazy to blog, I shall leave you with a link...

Anyways.. went for my eVisa application's Chest X-Ray today (umm.. odd thing ^^) Tomorrow will be the medical examination. Hopefully all will go smoothly and the visa will be approved so that I can actually fly off ON TIME on the 12th. *sigh* all the stuff done!! whee! can start packing my stuff.. next challenge ahead, how to make sure the luggage doesn't exceed 30kg by too much (or pref not at all).. knew I should've tried for Emirates instead of Qantas. The former allows students 40kg of baggage.. Qantas only allows 30 :( *prayyysss hard*

Spent the night play Yahoo!Literati aka Scrabble.. *loves the game* =D

IMPORTANT!

hmm... some of the people on my LJ.. you guys did this sausage LJ meme thingie not too long ago, yes? (the one where it lists down a whole lot of usernames and turns it into a sausage? well.. read this. my advice would be for you guys to change your PW now!

sighh.. I feel so embarassed.. :( Was supposed to call up a couple of clinics for my medical examination and chest x-ray examination for my student visa application, but being the fact that it is only 9AM in the morning, I made a whole bunch of errors. Like, calling up the wrong place, saying a whole lot of wrong things.. ARGH! Proves the point that I may be physically awake at 9, my mind is still in bed.. *zZzzZzZ*

*is finally breathing* argh.. hate all the paperwork and correspondence that needs to be done before I can settle all the annoying uni stuff. On the bright side of things though, today has been a good day. Got an email from one of the on-campus colleges informing me that they have vacancies. Headed down to IDP office to settle my air tix and also received my enrolment number through mail and FINALLY managed to file for my student visa. urgh. sucks, visas cost AUD$400 :(

Anyways, if anyone is interested, my plane leaves Singapore on the 12th July (Monday) at 9:20PM. It's a Qantas flight, I'm assuming that means it's at Terminal One. If anyone wants to see me off, let me know 'kays? By odd coincidence, [info]ariebeth is leaving Singapore for Perth on the same day but 2 hours early though.. heh. Funny. :p

Been shopping loads recently. Love that it's the Great Singapore Sale. But bah, retail theraphy is good, but too much of it results in going on a guilt trip. *guilty look*

[Disclaimer: this is a totally pointless LJ entry coz i'm tired and bored.]

OH YES! If anyone owes me anything, best to return it to me asap! Special note to gan, I want my OOTP back! *pouts*

sadhammy

Camp is over.. :(

Time needs to slow down for me... :(

Camp is finally over. 2 weeks, $550, numerous annoying parents, even more complaints, and even even more pesky kids.. it's over. A week ago, I was looking forward to this day, today, I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness. I must admit, I had loads of fun for the last 2 weeks even though I was working. My fellow leaders and teachers were all fantastic people, and after working with them for 2 weeks, we've developed some form of friendship. And the kids.. last week's kids were horrendous, but this week's kids were all such angels. Obedient, sweet, cute and absolutely lovable! *sniff* I miss them! Now I know why many teachers would rather pick the primary 1 classes to teach, because they can be such angels if they want to! Sure, they can't clean up after themselves, they can hardly cut or colour properly, and they can be annoyingly 'sticky', but awww... *heart melt* Now I know why I go back to the camp to work year after year after year. [ My friend, who's one of the camp organisers, is telling me to contact her when i return from Aust for my hols at the end of the semester, then she'll reserve a spot for me. ROFL]

I think I'll be missing the noise and the fun I had at work when next week comes. :(

ETA on a completely different note, BEP's "Hey Mama" is totally getting on my nerves. The kids on the bus were singing it everyday! ARGH.. *throttles them* I had about 5 secs of peace when they chose to talk about Linkin' Park instead.. X_x but 5 seconds ONLY!

Oh lookie! An update!!!

Anyways, in case anyone is interested to know, methinks i'll be closing down my l-w.net blog and start blogging 'full-time' at LJ. heh. No time to do layouts already. I'm actually kinda worrying about Net connection at Aussie too. *bleh* The school has an 80MB free LAN connection, but 80MB of download only!! hello!! I use like 300 hours and around 3500-4000MB of bandwidth a month lor.. *dies*

okay, I'm a bit dramatic.. O.o" but sigh, I can't believe I'll be flying off in around a month. Never in my life have I imagined myself going overseas to study, much less Aust.. sigh. *needs to get used to it, except I don't have all the time in the world to do that anymore*

Okay, should be more optimistic! Umm, really busy week. Mon to Fri was 10 hours of work a day. Sat and Sun was spent shopping, shopping and more shopping. I think I doubled my wardrobe in 1 day. O.o" My parents are paranoid that I won't have enough clothes when I'm in Aust so they're making me buy a whole lot of stuff.. I probably bought more tops on Saturday than I have in a few years combined. (Yes, imagine the pathetic size of my wardrobe). Anyways, at least I don't have to worry about not having enough clothes.. (heh, [info]nutty_elf would know! I tend to 'repeat' tops whenever i go out with her.. ^^)

Ohhh.. and besides new clothes, I've got a new NOTEPAD computer as well.. muahahah!! *shows off her Acer TravelMate 290* muahaha!! [ETA [info]while_you_can!! I just realised it's almost the same as the one you have!!!] uhh, I just need to get used to this keypad and the touchpad.. *annoyed at making more typos than right words*

Anyways, guys, I'll be needing lotsa help preparing for uni.. ^^ would help if you could drop some advice about what to pack and stuff, and uhh, how to survive winter in Aust.. (19 years of pure-summer weather isn't being very helpful!) *nervous nervous*

Erh, and I realised I haven't mentioned my new FORUM... JOIN JOIN JOIN!!!! Pleaseeeey? *puts on that look that's on her display pic* heh!

Oh, and Euro 2004 has started!! It's all over the news. *bleah* *never understood what was so nice about watching 22 guys running after a ball* Gee... *better not start on it*

eeps... after around 3 hours of watching tv and being on my notebook at the same time, batt only 19% batt left.. O.o bad sign! Better go charge it now before I lose this post.. *con't later on PC*

and btw, I'm thinking of changing my LJ username now that I'll be blogging here instead of elsewhere. Anyone has suggestions of usernames? heh!

*falls flat on the ground, rolls over and dies*

feeling so.so.so.so.so.so.so dead. Last 2 days has been eventful days. i mean, how could it not when I have to bear with 28 pesky little 6~7 year olds for 8am to 6pm everyday. *needs to find a wall to bang into*

Monday is always known as "get-to-know" day.. kids get to know each other, leaders and teachers spend the day trying to remember kid's names.. squeezing in games and lessons all into the same tiny timeslots. This my 3rd year doing the camp but the first time dealing with the pri 1 kids, so I was so paranoid they would burst out and cry anytime. :( I could hardly bring myself to scream at them either. And kids are hyper. They have TOO much energy, coz by the end of day 1, I was dead tired. My co-leader and the teacher in charge of the class also all like dying fishes also.

Nothing much happened in class methinks. But the bus ride to school in the morning was rather amusing. As you guys know, I'm a bus leader, so I have to take care of the kids who take the bus to school too. And well, the bus driver we got on monday was a total useless person. >_< She doesn't know the route at all! Take so many wrong turns, made the entire bus 20 minute late for classes. I was almost going to have a stroke already. >_< worst part was that the annoying bus driver refused to listen to my advice and chose to take the expressway instead (where we were stuck for over 1/2hr).. I was like.. *rolleyes* hello? Just because I'm only a leader doesn't mean I don't know how to get from one place in the East to another lor! I didn't live my 19 years as a tortoise, I know which routes can take, which cannot lor! stupid bus driver, almost got me scolded. Oh well, got a different bus driver today anyways *yay*

OKay, I must talk about today, like how I felt like a MAID for all those annoying kids on our "outing" to Bukit Batok Nature Park. I mean, they were like going "teacher, can help we take my water bottle out of my bag?", "teacher! Can help me hold my clipboard.", etc. by the tens lor. I was so tempted to scream at them to do these things themselves. and the worst thing, these kids are horribly pampered! There were proper paths to walk at the park, and they were complaining about having to walk on "this kind of ground". *not amused*. And after walking about 200metres, they were like.. "I'm tired already! When are we going back?".. 200m!! terrible! Tomorrow's outing is to a biscuit factory. Hopefully that will be more peaceful. :( [Random: A joke the teacher of another class told us. She was asking the class "Who does the housework?" The answer was supposed to be "human beings", the kids all answered "maid".. She almost died. >_<" ]

On a completely different note..
*pulls hair out* NUS, or Aust Uni? :( Arts and Social Science or Accounting? Cheaper or more expensive? *bangs head against wall* damn. I hate making decisions. [info]ariebeth is right, I think I just need someone to decide for me.. *wailss*

*ahHhhH-Tishhhhh-OoOOOoO*

*points at subject* In case you couldn't tell, I'm sick again.. :(

Anyways, I had a great day today! I went for the briefing for the DVC job.. It was fun being back at Tao Nan School for another round of camp. *loves the camp.. well, sorta* Setting up was fun, except that I found out that both the teacher teaching my class and my fellow leader are 1st timers.. that makes things rather.. complicated. *pouts* oh well.. 6-7 year old kids are scary.. :(

After setting up the camp, Melissa and I went out for walk² and lunch. Settle for the Fuzion cafe place at Millenia Walk for lunch. The pasta was okay, but the drink was *slurpppppp* delicious! :p Reminds me why I love going there.. ^^

Rest of the afternoon was spent walking around Suntec area, basically talking and window shopping. Met Chu Lei outside a video shop, but it was like.. *walk past* *gets tap on shoulder* *turns around with a shocked look from me* *sees that she's talking on the phone and just waves*.. yeah, lame, but whatever. oh oh oh.. but the best part of the outing was that I got a treat from Melissa at Crepes and Cream.. for their "Oreo³", which was ice cream in crepes and oreo biscuit(not the usual kind) It was like... HEAVENLY! But extremely sinful lar. I got both my chocolate and ice cream craving fulfilled.. *happy happy girl*

*hate being sick* bleh.. and evol NUS wants a reply to the offer by 10th June.. *sulks*

As they say.. good things come in pairs. I got my letter of offer from UWA today, as well as a call from SMU confirming my interview timeslot. However, bad things always come along with good things, because if I want to go to UWA, I have to accept by 15 June (insanely soon :(! ) and well, I'm having issues with the timeslot but the annoying person at SMU told me there weren't any other available timeslots. *gee*

How fun, I have 3 letters of offer piling up on my table now. Oh well, hopefully tomorrow I will at least be able to settle the interview issue.

*sneezessss x 3* bah, I hate falling sick.. :( *blames Mei and the rest of the MSN Gang for spreading their "sickness" through the 'Net* ) I need chocolates and ice cream, but my house has none! :( *pouts*

*goes back to reading Goblet of Fire* oooh.. lovely book.. *nodsnods* *STEALS!*

my wednesday!

I'm dead tired. Got home so late today my parents were asleep already.. Unfortunately I still had to wake my parents after I got home because, 1. my mom would scream at me at not annoucing my 'return'; and 2. I realise I had forgotten the combination to the house alarm system, so I needed to get my dad to set the alarm for the night.. >_<

Long day.. started by going to the temples and risked being disfigured by the annoying 'aunties' who have the habit of sticking their joss-sticks at the wrong places (i.e. in other people's face). won't go into detail because.. there isn't much to say. I would have brought up an issue which annoyed me greatly when I was praying at the temple in Geylang, but uhh, I'll not risk being called racist. *bah*

Afternoon was spent at this wonderful restaurant cum microbrewery place at Boat Quay called "Brewerkz".. fantastic place! The atmosphere was wonderful for a relaxing afternoon of beer-drinking and chit-chatting.. PLUS, they have good absolutely fantabulous food and good beer (yeps, much smoother and nicer than stuff like Tiger Beer).. And, the service at the place was impeccable. I was so impressed by the waitress serving us. Compared to the usual service you get at other restaurants, this is like.. in heaven. Of course, it helped that she was pretty cute too (erh, so I have a habit of bio2-ing people. can't help it. result of too many years in NY :-p)

So, I was trying my best not to drink too much since I have a dinner cum movie date with [info]nutty_elf and I didn't want to fall asleep during the movie or something, but the minute my uncle heard I was 'of legal age', he was happily pushing drinks in my direction (much to the dismay of my mom, I could say). Oh well, don't worry, I made it to the movie date.. ^^ [off-note, [info]ariebeth, eh.. you should ask 'him' to bring you there when you get back to Singapore!]

Anyways, highlight of the day.. evening time! Ate dinner at Marche (ahh.. my poor purse :< ).. I love that place! Good food, albeit a little rush. Then it was Harry Potter and tPoA at 7.. the movie was alright I guess. The effects were really good, but overall, the movie left quite a bit to be desired. Might be due to the fact that I had my hopes very high after the first 2 movies, but shrugs..
some spoilerish yet not very spoilerish stuff.. )

And now, I suddenly feel like reading all the HP books all over again.. O.o Except for a slight problem, I don't own any of the books in the series except for the first and fifth book.. *sheesh*

mocha milk = evil

yes to the subject.. mocha milk = evil.. my washroom can testify to that.. Hopefully, all will be fine by tomorrow when I wake up, coz it's Vesak Day, plus I've got a movie date in the evening!

well yea, tomorrow is going to be a long day, because it's Vesak Day (i.e. Buddha's birthday for those who don't know..) My parents actually asked me during dinner whether if I was going to the temples with them.. =/ For some reason, I think they weren't expecting me to go. Not that I blame them, I seem to practice the religion once a year, on Vesak Day. X_x *shrugs*

Anyways, there was an awful storm this afternoon. Big rain, big winds, bright lightning.. >_< I'm paranoid about lightning.. argh! I think after the rain almost all the traffic lights in the Tampines area was faulty. I had a good laugh as the radio DJ was reporting it on the radio news, but yeah, freaky! *likes rain, but doesn't like lightning* Well, let's just hope tomorrow will be a fine and sunny day..

Yes, contrary to popular beliefs, I'm not dead.. YET

headache.. tired.. *dies*

If anyone even wondered where I disappeared to in the last 2 day, I was at a 'last-minute' and 'extended' sleepover. Last minute because it began abruptly on Saturday morning with a phonecall at 10:15AM morning which I grudgingly answered (just because I had to..) And the chirpy voice at the other end (i.e. my good friend Limin) almost made me want to stab something, but.. errhh.. nevermind. Later, I found out she woke up Gannie and Val in a similiar manner as well.. lol. evolness. :p

yeah, so it was lunch and walking around at Orchard again.. I'm so sick of that place already. *bleh* Then in the evening, Gannie and Limin came my hse to pick up a Harry Potter book I was to loan Gannie. Somewhere along the way, I got convince to join Limin at Gan's hse for that night, so that was how it became a last minute sleepover. :p The night was spent reading comics which I brought along with me and Gan reading the Harry Potter book. I think at about 1+am, Limin got so bored with TV she made us play mahjong with her, but I was like.. half-heartedly playing.. Graphic Novels come first.. lmao.

My entire sunday was spent in front of the TV at Gan's house.. *yawns* I was planning to go home and get a nice night of sleep, but then i got convinced (once again) to extend the sleepover by another night, this time at Val's hse though. OHHHH.. I MUST MUST MUST blog about this part! Well, I had to go home to pick up some clean clothes, then I waited at White Sands (i.e. Pasir Ris) with Limin and Gannie for Valerie and her bf who volunteered to pick us up (they were at Changi).. but then.. we waited almost a whole HOUR AND A HALF for them to cover a distance which shouldn't have taken more than 15 minutes. *faints* Apparently they 'got' lost.. (don't ask me how when it's just one very straight road.. X_x) And worst shock! He was driving a VAN! *faints again*.. I think the 3 of us almost died when we saw the van.. *dies* And that thing has no seats! So we were like stuck at the back of the van, squatting like some prisoner being driven away in a prison car.. Damn, we should've just taken the MRT! *dies*

The only upside to the night was that we managed to get Valerie to treat us to DURIANs!! muahaha!! We stopped at Geylang along the way to pick up some durians and we sat at Valerie's house and ate durians for the night.. *drools* I want more! :( You guys wouldn't want to know the details for the night lah, the morning was more interesting...

Woke up this morning totally dead.. like, dead.. We headed to NUS in the afternoon because the stupid school still had not replied both me and Gan on our request to extend the deadline to accept our offer. Ate the delicious CHEESE PRATA from a stall nearby NUS.. *drools* then walked a whole long distance to get to the Office of Admission only to be told that the person in charged of approving the extensions is on 2 days MC. *dies* But at least the person at the office said that since we've sent an email already, we could wait till we get a reply before dealing with it. *shrugs* Then, the evening was spent at Orchard (again, yes.. AGAIN..).. I'm starting to like Coffee Bean methinks.. :p

Anyways, good news for the day..
1. I don't have to reply to NUS,, -yet-;
2. I got my job at DVC! *whoots* Although I really hate the prospects of having to deal with those kids for another torturous 2 weeks, but the money is too good to reject. heh, when the person in-charge called me in the afternoon, I was so excited she was laughing at me.. O.o (heh, I know her coz we used to be fellow leaders, like.. 2 years ago) But yeah, I'm dealing with primary 1 kids (i.e. 6 year olds) and I'm a bus leader again. *stabs self*
3. I came home with 3 Graphic Novels of my own! *whee* My poor pocket though.. and I'm utterly annoyed that I couldn't find volume 1 of the series. I've searched the Popular at Pasir Ris, the 2 Tampines branches & the Orchard branch. Would've gone to Kino if the place wasn't closed for stock reading today. *sheesh*
4. I got my letter of offer from University of Queensland through the mail today! My dad was so happy he called me on my mobile phone on my way home O.o"

And I guess that concludes a very very long LJ entry.. :p

ETA On a totally random note.. I watched Anastacia last night.. I love love love love love that movie!! And I love love love love love the soundtrack! *dreamy look* "Once upon a December" is a beautiful song! And "At the Beginning" is like me and val's 'song'.. *sniff*

Randomness

fwee, I got a reply from NUS in my mailbox today, except that it was an email telling me to contact someone else regarding the matter. *sheesH* *sends out another mail* That person better reply tomorrow or I will die of a heartattack.

On to more things.. today was *zZz*-ish.. Woke up this morning not really wanting to wake up, but I had to, coz that blasted alarm clock was being so noisy, and I had to meet [info]nutty_elf in the afternoon. oh well, I still got out of the house late, got to Orchard late... but for a change, I was still earlier than her.. *grins*

Afternoon was spent.. doing nothing of much value. Went to the library, returned books, borrowed more 'graphic novels'.. walked around Kino, walked around Borders (usual activity..d0h..) but most importantly, we bought tix for next Wednesday's screening of Harry Potter at Cineleisure!! *whoots* bleh, it was annoying that the Monday tixs were sold out, but Wed is still better than nothing, coz we still get it ahead of the rest of the world.. *evol laughter* (that was mean, yes.. scream at me!) Anyway, just a big THANKS! to [info]nutty_elf for treating me to the movie.. ;)

Anyways, Orchard has become the boring-est place ever already.. Singapore needs more places of entertainment.. *yawns* but on the bright side of things, it's a superb place to be for the next 8 weeks because.. it's the start of the Great Singapore Sale!! fwee! Retail theraphy rocks! Unfortunately, I'm not exactly feeling rich at the moment nor am I particularly inclined to spend hours shopping.. *needs to go lose some weight first* :p

And yeah, looks like it's a 75% chance I'll be doing my undergrad studies in Singapore liaoz.. somehow, I knew this was coming. *shrugs* My dad tells me to finish up undergrad studies in SG then go overseas to do my Masters or something, I'm ready to bet that another one of his 'promises' that he will "talk" me out of when the time comes. Sigh.. NTU, I want my bloody letter! and.. *prays hard for the SMU interview*

I need to stop blogging at LJ.. really..

what interview!?

OMFG OMFG.. I just got a call from SMU asking me if I'm free to go down for an interview between 7-11 June.. and I'm like "huh?" Actually, the convo went something like this..

SMU: "Are you free to come down for an interview between 7 - 11 June?"
Me: "huhh..? what interview?"
SMU: "Business Studies? We're trying to get the people we missed the last time.."
Me: "uhh.. okay..?"

Fun.. more interviews.. :S But I still don't get it. I didn't even pay the 15 bucks for the application?! hehz, please don't tell me that they have so many vacancies until they're just calling up anyone and everyone? *faints* bleh.. *takes back all the anti-SMU talk* =X

Tried emailing NUS asking for an extension for the deadline to hand in my reply to the offer. If I don't get a reply by tomorrow, I think I'll call the office personally. And NTU needs to bloody speed up. gah.

ooh.. read this.. there's going to be a Shrek 3 & 4.. *sigh* That day I was just talking to [info]nutty_elf about how I can't imagine a part 3 and 4 already.. plus, seeing more green ogre things are so annoying, I wish they had stayed the hunk and the babe.. *annoyed* (ROFL, there's where the "shallow" part in my 2nd last post came about..)

anyways, prepare yourself for crankiness for the next few days ahread. I hate it when decisions start acoming. I think my parents (namely, my dad) is making it quite apparent that they want me to accept NUS' offer. bleah. So much for all that crap they promised. I can't blame them though, it is much cheaper studying in Singapore.. but I'm not really certain if I want to waste 3 years in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. I mean, it doesn't even promise that I'll get to major in Economics or something! On the bleary side of things, UWA has sent out their letter of offer to me as well, and I can expect one from Adelaide as well (since the guy gave me a direct offer at the interview).. so all I'm waiting for is news from Queensland (which should be a positive reply, not that I'm being arrogant or anything.. ) and that dratted reply from NTU. I wonder if I should call NTU up to ask them.. *sigh* University education sucks.

I don't know why, I don't feel like being online anymore. Maybe I should go offline and read or something. bAh.. I would if I didn't have 'obligations' at that charmed battlerp board thingie.. I knew I shouldn't have accepted that job thingie in the game, but.. ARGH.

oh yes, and I LOVEEEE it whenever Perfect 10 plays the Shrek 2 version of "Livin La Vida Loca"... cracks me up.. reminds me of that finale scene totally.. rofl.. I think I need to get the soundtrack or *cough*download*cough* it.. damn, reminds me that I need to do something about this soundcard problem too.. *bleah*

ETA - oh lookie.. updates.. NTU doesn't have an online facility to check your posting, but it has one to accept the offers. I popped into the page and entered my application no. and it was rejected, I entered someone else's in and it got through, which means that NTU still HASN'T "processed" my applications. diee!
Puss-in-boots

bAhhh..

If NUS is a living thing, it should be dead by the sheer number of times I've stabbed it. Damn NUS..

Got a belated bday greeting through the phone from an old classmate, and she informed me that we can check our NUS placings through the internet already.. so I happily bounced to the NUS webby and checked my application status. The news.. my bloody letter of offer was sent out on the 21st of May and today's already 24th of May and I've yet to seen it.. and the worst part? If I choose to accept the offer, I have to make sure that NUS gets the SGD $500 (bloody bloodsuckers they are) deposit by 31st of May... HELLO? *counts date with fingers* If my friend didn't inform me about checking it online and I waited till I got the stupid snail mail, I don't have to accept the offer already, IS IT? Where's the logic in this?! Less than 1 week to decide!! *stabstabs*

Anyways, for anyone interested, I got a choice between Faculty of Arts and Social Science or Building and Real Estate, which was my 2nd and 3rd choice respectively. Damn. It's actually what I expected but still.. *sigh* It's not NUS Business School.. :( I don't know if I should accept or not. 500 bucks for the deposit means no backing out.. And the worst thing is that NTU hasn't sent me my letter of offer either, and there's no online facility to check. :( Hoooowwwwww?

Went to tell my parents about it earlier and I seem to get the impression that they want me to accept the offer to go to FASS. I'm not really happy abou the idea since they promised me that.. "Either get into Business at NTU or NUS, or go Aust study accountancy".. obviously they're not quite keeping their word at the moment. It's almost 12 and I wasn't in the mood to remind them about the agreement we had. bLeh.. I'm actually quite hating NUS at the moment. My email has been flooded by the various annoying "orientation camp" from the student clubs.. and the worst part is that they send reminders like every other day to tell you to PAY and "join" to "meet new friends" even if "you're not coming to NUS".. Good Mood..

I'm in a pretty good mood today. :) [info]nutty_elf is right, I'm really shallow.. X_x

Going to bed at 6am is an insane idea if you have a date with a friend the next morning, cause when Valerie called me out for lunch, I was like.. "GO AWAY!" but about lotsa whining from her (or possibly vice versa.. o_O), I finally gave in. But of course, 30 seconds after putting down the phone, I plopped back on to the bed.. (oops!) By the time I finally dragged my ass off the bed, it was possibly quite a long while already.. lol, then I happily turned on my mobile phone before going to bathe, only to find myself stuck on the phone for another 30 minutes becase of the flood of text messages I got.. I had to clear my outbox like 3 times and delete tons in my inbox before the annoying phone stop showing "your text message folder is full." I got birthday wishes from so many people, many of whom I didn't expect them to remember my birthday at all.. *touched* Best of all, after I bathed and popped online for a while, I saw this and this on my "Friends" page.. <3 cheery and mishy! Plus, an ICQ msg all the way from the US from an old senior.. mleh, I was half expecting her to have forgotten my existance or something.

Lunch with Valerie was okay.. I had a craving for Fish & Co, but my dear friend refused and we ended up eating Mos Burger. *sheesh* and it annoys me greatly when you're barely halfway through your meal when people who can't find seats start standing right beside you and STARE, like trying to make you give up your seat.. Like, hello? If I'm about the finish the meal already, it's not that bad, but we were still munching on our burgers lor! *stabs* So.. that was lunch. Spent the rest of the time window shopping. Actually, not quite, I bought a couple of VCDs, so did Valerie, only problem was that I was having troubles communicating with the girl after she saw a DVD copy of the anime "X'.. she was like screaming and shrieking and hyper. *faints* The thing is like 89 bucks lor! oh well.. nevermindz.

Anyways, I haven't seen my brother all day but he has obviously been home while I was out coz I saw a bday pressie in my room when I got home. It's this small bag-like thing from Montip. Kinda nice, except that it's bright orange, flowery and extremely girly.. which I can safely say is NOT a Bingz thing.. *points to the wardrobe of majority t-shirts and jeans to prove the point*. heh, but it's the thought that counts.. right? Beside, he's a 25 year old guy, can't expect too much, he's never really gotten me a "right" sort of present before, lol, except the time when his then-gf chose the present for him.. X_x

oh well, once again, must say.. Happy birthday [info]sherene!! It's only once in a lifetime that you get to turn 22 years old on the 22nd day of the month! :)

eta For the general mental welfare of my LJ's readers (with the exception of [info]ariebeth, of course) Nic Tse is there no more! :-p Look who's joined the team on my LJ User Icons.. :D *blinkblinks*
